The “Environmental Engineering and Sustainability Laboratory” of CERTH attended the Water Innovation and Circularity Conference (WICC) that took place in Athens, Greece from 7 to 9 June 2023. The Conference’s main topic were the innovative practices and technologies applied for the management of water and wastewater, constituting a pivotal opportunity to present the BlueBioChain results to a wide, well-informed audience. 

CERTH’s presentation was entitled “Investigating the social acceptance of upcycled products derived from wastewater valorization: a key issue for circular economy” and encompassed the first outcomes of the social acceptance survey conducted by CERTH based on the valorized products developed under the principles of BlueBioChain concept. In the context of the presentation, the survey questionnaire was disseminated, while key conclusions about the societal acceptance and underlying motives shaping the societal perception were communicated.
