On 21-24thJune 2023 the 10th International conference on sustainable solid waste management took place in Chania, Greece. The aim of the conference was to address the ever-important issue of sustainable waste management through the promotion of safe practices & effective technologies.
BlueBioChain was represented on Wednesday 21st June by Dr. I. Papachristou who gave an insightful presentation on downstream processing of microalgae cultivated in wastewaters and how their rich bioactive compounds output will be utilized for the production of high valued cosmeceuticals. In this way, valorization of the food industry effluents is achieved along with water purification.
